Image to Word

Upload a photo of text on paper or a screen and get an editable Word file. Headings, paragraphs, lists and tables are kept; Perlecta marks the words it isn't sure about.

The photo is sent to our servers to be read and is not stored.

How do you turn text in an image into Word?

    1

    Add the photo

Keep the whole page in view, flat and sharp. A phone photo or a screenshot both work.

    2

    Convert to Word

Perlecta reads the text with its headings, paragraphs and lists. It takes a few seconds.

    3

    Check and download

Look at the highlighted words and download the Word file. The marks stay in the file too.

    Questions

    Is it free?

2 photos a day are free, no sign-up needed (shared with Image to Excel). For more, use the Perlecta app.

What do yellow and orange words mean?

Yellow: Perlecta read it but isn't sure, take a look. Orange: something is there but it couldn't be read. Unmarked words were read with confidence.

    Is my photo stored?

No. The photo is sent to our servers to be read and is not stored afterwards.

    Which photos work best?

Printed, flat and sharp pages. Keep the whole page in the frame, with no shadows or glare. Handwriting and very slanted photos are harder to read.
